Bryan Ferry

Yes! Bryan Ferry, one of my idols. It was a pleasure to create this portrait to accompany Oliver Hall’s interview with him for LA Record entitled “I’m Feeling Fine.” I used my pseudo-Bob Peak montage technique, including Ferry’s favorite car, a paparazzi photo of him texting, fashion shots of him by Mick Rock and a scene from the video for Roxy Music’s  “Same Old Scene” with Ferry in the studio singing and playing keyboard. I used conté crayon, graphite and digital color.

Here’s one of the original drawings in conté crayon on bristol board.
